In three of the past four NFL Drafts, Louisiana State has had one player drafted in the top five. This includes last year’s fifth pick, Arizona Cardinals CB PATRICK PETERSON, the highest-drafted defensive back in school history.
After a standout collegiate career, CB MORRIS CLAIBORNE, the 2011 recipient of the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation’s top defensive back, hopes to add his name to the list Thursday night. Fellow Tigers DT MICHAEL BROCKERS and WR RUEBEN RANDLE could also be selected in Round 1.
