Countdown to Super Bowl XLVI: Matthew Broderick reprises Ferris Bueller in Super Bowl ad - Ingles

"Bueller ... Bueller .... Bueller!" Some 26 years later, we can still hear Ben Stein's drone as he takes roll and wonders what happened to student Ferris Bueller, who plays hooky for the day. Now "Ferris" returns in a Honda ad for the Super Bowl this Sunday.

He's going to promote the CR-V crossover in a campaign that Honda hopes will will resonate with Gen Y, though we think the movie is best known to the Gen X and some younger boomers.

"Our primary goal is to support the launch of the all-new CR-V, a pillar vehicle in the Honda lineup, while representing the inherent fun and youthfulness of the Honda brand," said Tom Peyton, Honda's U.S. brand manager.

To further promote the commercial's tie-in to the original film, Honda says there are dozens of references tying the two together in its spot. It's trying to get people to go to its Facebook page to find them all.
