Countdown to Super Bowl XLVI: Wes Welker says Belichick mellower because of girlfriend - Ingles
This Super Bowl buildup has included a steady buzz about the mellowing of Bill Belichick.
And Patriots receiver Wes Welker has a guess about why his coach has loosened up.
Said Welker (Via CBSSports.com)
"I don't know, I think he's enjoying himself . . . I think he's got a lady in his life, so that could definitely be the case. I don't know. We're just coming here to try and win a ballgame. However we do that or whatever demeanor we have to take, that's what it's going to be."
Welker went on to mention Belichick's girlfriend, Linda Holliday.
"A lot of people have been asking me that," Welker said of Belichick's personality change. "I attribute it to Linda, personally."
Welker might be basing his theory on how his life has changed since marrying Anna Burns, the Miss Hooters International 2005.
