NFL.com Kicks Off 2009 Season with New Game Center Featuring 3-D Drive Chart
NFL.com/Fans Features Real-Time Comments, Ratings and Twitter.
Fans can own every moment of the 2009 NFL season on NFL.com with a new Game Center, a community hub, and a revamped video player.
The new interactive GAME CENTER gives football fans a complete look at every NFL game before, during and after the game. Game Center provides improved visual display of the game action with its dynamic 3-D Drive Chart. The Drive Chart offers both a top view and a side view so users can visualize the plays as they unfold with horizontal arrows indicating runs and arcs indicating passes. In addition, the Drive Chart illustrates whether the game is outside or in a dome and if it is day or night giving fans a full experience.
"We continue to enhance the features to bring fans more NFL news, analysis, information and highlights than any other site on the internet," said LAURA GOLDBERG, general manager of NFL Online. "Our exclusive 3-D Drive Chart is a whole new experience for fans to follow and relive the action for all the NFL games. In addition, we have embraced social media and created new products and places on NFL.com for fans to interact with other passionate NFL fans."
Beneath the dynamic Drive Chart, Game Center offers fans multiple ways to experience the game. Fans can track game information including the current drive and top performers and dive deeper with the analyze tab, which provides graphical statistical comparisons of the two teams. Fans can discuss the game with other fans in real-time as well as watch related video content such as footage from previous games, interviews, or NFL Network analysis.
In the days leading up to game day, Game Center provides a comprehensive preview, as well as the statistical analysis and discussion options. Following the game, fans can access a recap and then can rate individual player performances, coaches and the overall game. Fans also can watch exclusive game highlights to relive plays or see them for the first time. These different sections make Game Center the perfect complement to any broadcast and essential tool for Fantasy GMs.
NFL.com introduces NFL.COM/FANS, the place for NFL fans to see what is being said now on NFL.com.
